Shilea Cooper, ACMHC
Life sometimes throws us curveballs we never saw coming. All too often we are left feeling confused, overwhelmed, and on edge. We might even find ourselves with intense feelings of pain and sadness. Gabor Mate stated, “The attempt to escape from pain, is what creates more pain.” Therapy helps us to work through our pain so we are better able to show up for life more authentically.
I work with individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, addictions, and relationship distress. I am a Gottman level 2 therapist and am also trained in CBT, ACT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused. These approaches help individuals and couples heal from emotional and relationship distress.
I would love to help you get started on your healing journey. If you are struggling, I invite you to give therapy a try.
