When we find ourselves in a whirlwind, losing our sense of direction, it can be disorienting. We may lose connection to the part of us that knows what to do and where to go. We may be losing the battle with relentless looping thoughts, struggling to prioritize our own needs while being in relationship to others, and/or lacking the empowerment to make lasting change. There may be parts of our story that we would like to disown. Losing trust in ourselves, we become disconnected from our heart, confused by our own minds, and afraid to face what is next in life. At these moments, we might recognize a need for someone to be with us on our journey to finding our way back to center.
I believe human beings inherently have everything they need to make it through their journey. As they activate these abilities, individuals relate to their story differently, and find what is golden about it. As individuals give themselves permission to heal parts of their story with self compassion, they find that what was initially limiting is now emboldening. Individuals can relate differently to their thoughts and fully arrive at experiencing their emotions, rather than falling back on defensive behaviors that may help individuals survive moments. I value helping individuals to fully live moments. I see it as a great privilege to support individuals until they feel back "at home" in themselves.
I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapist that specializes in healing trauma with experience integrating ketamine treatments. I am trained in EMDR and am training in Lifespan Integration Therapy.
