Workshops & Support Groups
Our therapists teach workshops on a variety of topics including strengthening marriages, healthy intimacy and sexuality, and tips for positive parenting. Call to discuss in-house group therapy options or to schedule a therapist to come to your church or community event. We also offer corporate presentations and workshops to meet the specific needs of your professional team.
For couples, we suggest a fun and interactive marriage workshop known as "Hold Me Tight." This internationally acclaimed workshop is taught as an eight session in-depth class, as a two-day intensive hands-on seminar or as a brief two hour introductory presentation. Developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, the founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy, and based on her award winning book “Hold Me Tight”, the workshop teaches the most effective and successful couple’s therapy ever developed to help partners reconnect and create loving and lasting marriages. Call to hold your place for our next workshop.
Hold Me Tight Couples’ Workshop Presented by Ed and Candace Peterson - April 5-6
Research shows that the primary reason why marriages fail is a lack of positive emotional responsiveness and affection. As the years go by those “knowing” smiles go away. Gone also are the gentle touches or spontaneous hugs. Over time the spark in the relationship often dies out. We are naturally wired for connection and bonding with our partner. When our love connections are not secure, we hurt. The goal of the Hold Me Tight workshop is to help couples repair, enhance, and continually grow the connection in their love relationship. No matter the stage of your relationship, married or not, this workshop will teach you and your partner how to connect emotionally to create the relationship of your dreams. Building a Lasting Connection Couples’ Workshop - April 18-19 (FULL), May 17-18
The EFT Clinic offers a couples’ workshop unlike any other. Typically held over two days, the Building a Lasting Connection program is structured around a relationship pyramid featuring five sections: attachment, communication, managing conflict, physical intimacy, and shared dreams. Each section builds upon the last so the couple is able to conceptualize their relationship as a process of building, growing, evolving, developing, and rising up in a collaborative manner. In the program couples will first be given an overview of the nature of love and the core concepts of attachment. As the workshop proceeds, attachment remains interlaced with each concept to reinforce the foundational principle of attachment throughout the life of the marital relationship. The Building a Lasting Connection workshop is $300 per couple for the two-day course. Call or email us today for more information or to sign up for an upcoming Building a Lasting Connection workshop.
Grief Recovery Support Group facilitated by Sara Collins, MFT beginning March 2019

We will meet on Sundays for 8 consecutive weeks from 7:00-8:30pm. 8-week commitment required and space is limited to ensure a safe and powerful experience. Participants will experience sensitive, gentle, and supportive caring in an environment of safety and confidentiality, develop an understanding of the grieving process, be given the opportunity to speak freely and openly as much as one chooses, and learn effective ways to release pain in order to engage in life again.
